Speaker: Peter Shackford, SMS, CHST
Vice President of Safety & Risk Control Services Hettrick, Cyr & Associates Inc.

Even though it’s getting late in the winter season, this is a perfect time of year to evaluate your safety policies and determine where improvement can be made. While heat illness is not new to roofing, there has been a significant effort in recent years to do more to prevent it. Each year thousands of workers become sick from heat exposure. With the roofing season just around the corner, now is the time to train, modify policy and prepare to prevent heat illness.

Mr. Shackford will show you how to identify signs of heat stress, exhaustion, and stroke. In addition, OSHA has provided new resources to assist and has pushed for regulatory changes. While the assumption is that those changes will be on hold, we will review some of the items they are proposing.

The heat will be here before you know it. Will your programs be ready for it? Join our webinar and discuss industry best practices to prevent heat illness.
